Unfortunately, however, it is inevitable, which means, that at some point or another we will all be faced with the planning of a loved one s funeral. Presenting a eulogy for a loved one could be the saddest thing and the most difficult public speaking endeavor you could ever experience.
One detail that often escapes even the most thorough planner is to write an obituary. It will contain highlights, perhaps about the deceased's schooling and work careers, but definitely something about their families. Following or in some cases, prior to a service is the burial of the deceased.
It is best to go with a funeral home that has a reputation for care, compassion, and attention to detail. A feature of successful eulogies is that they will include comment on the positive impact the person had on other people along the way, especially on the speaker and others present at the funeral. Noteworthy personal habits and a little humor are usually mixed in with mention of special accomplishments and attractive personality characteristics.
Above all, remember to breathe. And it doesn't end after death.
