A eulogy is a speech written to be read at funerals, to commemorate the memory of a departed one. Often your emotions are so stirred up that it can be very difficult to come up with words of condolence for those that need them.
Only time heals such grief but in the mean while if there are words of comfort sometimes they help the grieving people by giving them a different perspective of the unfortunate event. Standing up in front of so many of her friends and family to say the final goodbye's helped me to finally accept that she'd gone, even though it was the hardest thing I'd ever had to do in my life. It will take a little time to make it perfect, so do not get frustrated if you are unable to write eulogy in one sitting.
The bereaved needs to express his sadness and anger together with the memories of the deceased person. Typically, a eulogy runs around five to ten minutes in length. We leave the dark and dim home of our mother's womb to discover a new home in a brighter, wider world.
Writing a eulogy for someone you knew well and probably loved can be a difficult thing to do. It is a tribute, do it justice.
